Amalienborg Palace

Amalienborg, the royal couple's winter residence, is a major architectural work and probably the most outstanding piece of Rococo architecture in Denmark.

Amalienborg comprises four externally uniform (but internally different) palaces encircling an octagonal courtyard, in the middle of which has been erected an equestrian statue of Frederik V.
