Bags and buggies, etc.
As a precaution and out of consideration for the fragile interiors and floors, large bags, baby strollers and umbrellas are not allowed in the Royal Reception Rooms. Cloakrooms and lockers are located next to the ticket office.
Filming
Photographing and video recording in the Royal Reception Rooms is not allowed without a special permission.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones must be switched off during your visit to the Royal Reception Rooms out of consideration for other visitors and the staff’s radio communication.
Dogs and pets
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome. All other dogs and pets are not allowed in the Royal Reception Rooms.
Accessibility
In case any wheelchair or walker users are among the visitors, please inform the Palace Administration about this prior to the visit by e-mailing christiansborg@ses.dk or calling tel. 33 92 64 92.
A lift provides access to the Royal Reception Rooms on the first floor. We do not have lift access for the rooms on the ground floor, nor for the Ruins.
An accessible toilet is found on the first floor of the Palace (by the Queen’s Staircase).
Parking spaces for the disabled are found at Christiansborg Palace Square (in the area between the Christiansborg Palace Chapel and the main palace) and at Bertel Thorvaldsens Plads (at the entrance to the Thorvaldsens Museum).
Toilets
Access to the toilets in the Royal Reception Rooms and the Ruins is reserved for paying visitors. The nearest public lavatories may be found at Amagertorv.
Parking
There is very limited parking in the area around Christiansborg, e.g. in Slotsholmsgade and by Frederiksholms Kanal. Only employees of Christiansborg are allowed to park at the Riding Ground Complex and in the inner courtyard.
