In 2011 Hamletscenen presented the internationally acclaimed London companies PROPELLER and SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE. World-class comedy and drama that enthused the audiences. Propeller blowed the dust away from the cover of the book in two thoroughly musical and humorous productions, where all the roles were played by men. “Richard III” is a horror story about power, treason and serial murder – this time told with music and a glint in the eye. “The Comedy of Errors” was a hilariously funny production. A play with complications that got funnier and funnier. Propeller surprised and took the audience by storm. SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE continued the feast at the castle with a raw, elemental and moving new version of “Hamlet”. The rising star Joshua McGuire played the title role, as the indecisive prince in a very funny play, which also was filled with music and dance.
