Since the 1970s, two preservation-worthy 18th century buildings at Åbenrå, in the centre of Copenhagen, have housed the Museum of Musical Instruments and Carl Claudius' Collection. The elegant, yellow, timber-frame building is also beautiful from the back, where it is red.
The museum e.g. houses a collection of musical instruments from Europe, Asia and Africa from the period ca 1600-1900. There is also a more recent section presenting Danish instrument-making, fiddler's music, signalling instruments, etc.
